THE THING NOBODY INSPECTS

Your attic is cooking your shingles from the inside.

Bad ventilation bakes the mat out of your shingles years early and pushes your cooling bill up. It is the cheapest part of a roof to fix and the part almost nobody checks.

  • Intake and exhaust checked on every inspection
  • Balanced, not just added
  • Corrected during replacement

The problem

Heat and moisture do not leave on their own.

In summer an under vented attic runs far hotter than the air outside. That heat sits under the deck and ages the shingles from the back side, where no warranty is looking.

In winter the problem is moisture. Warm damp air from the house collects on cold sheathing, and you get frost in January and mildew in March. Neither one is visible until somebody opens the hatch.

Ventilation shortens roof life and raises cooling bills.

What you get

Everything below is part of the job.

  • Attic inspection

We look for frost, staining, matted insulation, and blocked soffits.

    Included
  • Intake verification

The part that gets forgotten. Exhaust without intake does not move air.

    Included
  • Exhaust sizing

Ridge, box, or power vent, sized to the square footage.

    Included
  • Baffles where the insulation is choking the soffit

So the intake path is actually open.

    Included
  • Bath and kitchen fan terminations checked

Those should not be dumping into your attic.

    Included
  • Correction during roof replacement

The cheapest time to fix it is when the roof is off.

    Included
  • Written findings

With photos from inside the attic.

How it goes

From your first call to the final sweep.

  1. We look in the attic

Not just at the roof. Frost, staining, and blocked intake tell the story.

  2. We size it correctly

Intake and exhaust balanced, not just another vent cut in.

  3. Your roof stops aging early

Cooler deck, drier attic, and a shingle that lives out its warranty.

The difference

Why this goes differently with us.

What usually happens

  • Vents added without checking intake.
  • Nobody opens the attic hatch.
  • Mixed vent types fighting each other.
  • Bath fans venting into the attic.

What we do

  • Intake verified first, then exhaust sized to match.
  • We go in and photograph what we find.
  • One balanced system.
  • Flagged and corrected.

Proof

Recent attic ventilation work.

The workmanship was awesome and so was the cleanup. Owner Tyler Link was very professional during the whole process and he has excellent communication skills.

Do not sit on this

Waiting is the expensive option.

  • Every summer with a hot attic takes life off shingles you already paid for.

  • If the roof is coming off anyway, that is the cheapest hour ventilation will ever cost you.
