Is the inspection really free?

Yes. No fee, no deposit, no card on file. We get on the roof, photograph every slope, and hand you a written diagnostic report before we leave. If your roof has years left, that is what the report will say and we will go.

How much will I actually pay out of pocket?

For most of our insurance customers, the deductible and nothing else. Your carrier pays for the roof and you cover the deductible listed on your policy. We will read the policy with you so you know that number before you sign anything.

Question 3

What is a deductible and why do I have to pay it?

Accepted Answer

It is the portion of a claim you agreed to cover when you bought the policy. It comes out of the claim, not on top of it. Anyone who offers to eat it, waive it, or bury it in the paperwork is asking you to take part in insurance fraud, and your name is the one on the policy.

Will filing a claim raise my insurance rates?

Weather claims are treated differently than at fault claims, and every carrier handles it their own way. Your agent can tell you what a claim does to your specific policy. We are not going to promise you something we do not control.

My roof looks fine from the ground. Is an inspection worth it?

Accepted Answer

Most storm damage is invisible from the driveway. That is the whole problem. Hail bruises the mat under the granules and wind breaks the seal strip without moving the shingle. Forty five minutes tells you which one you have.

How long does a roof replacement take?

Most roofs go on in one day. Crews start early and the yard gets swept before anyone leaves. Larger or steeper homes can run into a second day, and we tell you which one yours is before we schedule it.

What if my insurance company denies the claim?

Accepted Answer

Denials get reopened. One of our customers had hers reopened three times before it was approved for a full replacement. We go back with better documentation and a supplement when the scope is short. If the roof does not have a real claim, we will tell you that instead of dragging it out.

Do you do metal roofs?

No. Shingles only. If you want metal, we are not your contractor and we would rather say that on the first call than waste your afternoon.

What areas do you cover?

Newark and the surrounding counties: Licking, Knox, Muskingum, Perry, and Fairfield. Roughly an hour to an hour and a half from Newark. If you are not sure whether you are in range, call and ask.

What shingles do you install?

How fast can you get here after a storm?

On site within 48 hours, and often sooner if you are close to Newark. If something is open we tarp it first. A real person answers the phone from 6 AM to 8 PM, Monday through Saturday.

Do I have to be home during the work?

No. A lot of our customers are at work while the roof goes on. We will send photos and walk the property with you whenever you get home. If we find something in the decking, you get a call and a photo before we cover it up.
