Is the inspection really free?

Yes. No fee, no deposit, no card on file. We get on the roof and photograph every slope. We don't hand you a written report before we leave, we put it together afterward and email it to you. If your roof has years left, that's what the report will say and we'll go.

How much will I actually pay out of pocket?

Accepted Answer

For most of our insurance customers, the deductible and nothing else, subject to your policy and the approved scope of work. We don't read or interpret your insurance policy with you, that's your carrier's job under Ohio law. What we do is go through the approved scope of work with you so you understand what is covered and what you're signing.

What is a deductible and why do I have to pay it?

It's the portion of a claim you agreed to cover when you bought the policy. It comes out of the claim, not on top of it. Anyone who offers to eat it, waive it, or bury it in the paperwork is asking you to take part in insurance fraud, and your name is the one on the policy.

Will filing a claim raise my insurance rates?

Weather claims are treated differently than at fault claims, and every carrier handles it their own way. Your agent can tell you what a claim does to your specific policy. We're not going to promise you something we don't control.

My roof looks fine from the ground. Is an inspection worth it?

Accepted Answer

Most storm damage is invisible from the driveway. That's the whole problem. Hail bruises the mat under the granules and wind breaks the seal strip without moving the shingle. 45 minutes tells you which one you've.

How long does a roof replacement take?

Most roofs go on in one day. Crews start early and the yard gets swept before anyone leaves. Larger or steeper homes can run into a second day, and we tell you which one yours is before we schedule it.

What if my insurance company denies the claim?

Accepted Answer

Denials get reopened. One of our customers had hers reopened three times before it was approved for a full replacement. We go back with better documentation and a supplement when the scope is short. If the roof doesn't have a real claim, we'll tell you that instead of dragging it out.

Do you do metal roofs?

Yes. We install metal roofing on homes and commercial buildings, in addition to shingle roofing.

Do you offer financing?

What areas do you cover?

Newark and the surrounding counties: Licking, Knox, Muskingum, Perry, and Fairfield. Roughly an hour to an hour and a half from Newark. If you're not sure whether you're in range, call and ask.

What shingles do you install?

Accepted Answer

GAF and Owens Corning. We're a GAF Certified Residential Roofing Contractor, which means the installation follows the manufacturer spec. We can also talk about impact resistant shingles, which hold up better to hail.

How fast can you get here after a storm?

Accepted Answer

On site within 24 hours, and often sooner if you're close to Newark. If something is open we tarp it first.

What is the warranty?

Accepted Answer

You get our workmanship warranty plus the manufacturer coverage on the materials. We go over both in writing before you sign, so you know exactly what is covered.

Question 14

Do I have to be home during the work?

Accepted Answer

No. A lot of our customers are at work while the roof goes on. We'll send photos and walk the property with you whenever you get home. If we find something in the decking, you get a call and a photo before we cover it up.
